New pictures of Dario playing football

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Here is the link to more pictures of Dario playing football.  There is a great shot of him running in a touchdown (proud Daddy moment).  It’s great to see his team do good again this year.  They came in third overall.  This was also Dario’s last game as a “Flaggie”.  Now he is starting to play in the Junior Tackle Team.

Of course, I pray him and his friends will be safe.  But at the same time, I am glad to know he enjoys the same sport I love and is continuing his career.

Erin turns 3

Monday, July 16th, 2007

This past weekend we had Erin’s 3rd birthday party.  It was a swim party at one of the local public pools.  We had a grassy area reserved with shade and picnic tables.  The pool had a large area that was shallow for the smaller kids, and another which was deeper.  There was a splash area and even a water slide.

Everyone seemed to have a great time.  The weather was really nice, around 106 (great for July in AZ) with light clouds and a steady breeze.  It was almost perfect.  Pretty much all our AZ family was there.  Erin had a great time opening presents and eating cake.  But she would have rather been swimming.

All in all, it was a great time of swimming, eating, and visiting.  Thanks to everyone who was able to make it.  Thank you for all the gifts, and the great conversation.

God Bless

House update

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

This past week I submitted for building permits for the new house.  We don’t know how long it will take for the plans to be approved, so for now it is a waiting game.  We can realistically expect to get either permits, or red lines (which means we need to fix something on the drawings) in four weeks or so.

Once we get the permits, we will be able to begin actual construction.  For the last six months of actively working on getting everything lined up to be able to submit our plans, this will be a great milestone.  We would actually be able to see some physical evidence of our hard work and prayers.

Then begins the construction process, which I am sure will be another trying time for us.  We will need to pray up and get ready for it.  I know God will give us the strength and wisdom to be able to get through all of it.

God Bless America

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

This July 4th I want to encourage everyone to remember that this nation was built by a group of men who believed, loved, and followed Christ.

I also want to give all veterans, past, present, or future my prayers and great thanks for their hard work to ensure we can have the freedoms that we all take advantage of.

Read The Constitution too, you may be surprised what is in there.  What powers do the courts really have?  What about Congress, or the President.  Most important, what powers you we, as Americans have.  Check it out here  http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html .  Its a shame that nationalized citizens know more about US history, and government than Americans that have lived here their whole life.

Thank you, and God Bless America
